Sung Jin Woo’s English Voice Actor Remains Optimistic Despite Criticism For Solo Leveling Episode 7.5

Feb 24, 2024, was a dark day for Solo Leveling fans, as episode 7.5, a recap episode, titled “How to Get Stronger,” is now the lowest-rated anime episode of all time in Crunchyroll. Currently, the episode rests at over 70,000 dislikes, compared to under 33,000 likes.

Comments under the episodes were filled with disappointing remarks from fans, saying that the staff wasted everyone’s time by putting a recap episode right at episode 7 for a seasonal anime.

However, some claim that the delay was due to the voice actors being infected by COVID-19.

However, Aleks Le, the English dub voice actor for Jinwoo, remains as hopeful about the next episodes of the program as he has always been. He recently engaged in a conversation with CBR regarding the anime and its forthcoming episodes.

Q: What else can you tease about Solo Leveling as we go deeper into this fantasy world and its bombastic action?

A: I will say this: keep your heads on. It’s about to get real crazy.

Voice director Caitlin Glass shares a similar enthusiasm by stating that non-manhwa readers aren’t ready for what’s about to come.

“I think it’s going to be really exciting for folks who haven’t read the manhwa because, already you’re probably blown away going, “I can’t believe they just did that! That just happened and someone had to animate that!” Some things are coming that will make you throw your popcorn and drop your drinks – and then it’s not done! It’s not like “Crazy thing and scene! Wait until next week!” It’s a lot and bombastic is a great word for it. It keeps going and keeps pulling you in and wanting more.”

So, Solo Leveling fans, you guys might just be complaining for nothing.
